The Information We Collect
Information you provide to us directly
When you visit our web sites to request information, sign up for a free trial or a paid service, respond to surveys, or contact us directly we may ask you to provide personal data to us. For instance, when you sign up for a free trial we ask you to supply an email address and name. When you sign up for a paid service we ask your full name, company or organization name, business address, credit card and other billing information.
Automatic data collection
When you visit one of our web sites or use a cloud service we gather certain information automatically by using various
technologies such as cookies. The automatically collected information includes IP address, operating system, web browser
and device type, referring and exit web pages, dates and times of the visit, and advertising identifiers.
How we use the information
To transact with you and support youWe use the information to operate our services, to transact with you -- e.g. to process your service subscription renewals -- and to support you.
To commnunicate with youWe may use your personal information to communicate with you for a number of different purposes such as administrative, legal, customer service or promotional purposes. You have the ability to opt-out of receiving any promotional communications, simply follow the unsubscribe instructions contained in the marketing communication.
To enhance our web site and services
We use the automatically collected data to produce aggregated analytics and analyze usage and trends so that we can continue to improve our web site and services and enhance your user experience.
We are committed to maintaining very high standards of data security. The measures we take include a secure data centre, the use of encrypted communications and only storing limited information in our transaction database. Our transaction servers are hosted on Microsoft Azure who is Privacy Shield certified.
Legrand processes credit card transactions via payment processor Braintree Solutions, a PayPal subsidiary. Any cardholder information sent to the payment processor and any authorization message coming back is secure and cannot be tampered with. We do not store your full credit card number or the Card Security Code (CSC), sometimes called Card Verification Value or Code (CVV or CVC), in our database. When a successful authorization message has been received from our merchant provider only the last 4 digits of your credit card are recorded with the transaction.
We retain your Personal Information for as long as your subscription service is active and for a period of time afterwards
where we have a need to retain it, for instance to comply with legal or accounting requirements.
The data you have entered in your Cloud CRM account is deleted within 30 days of closure or non-renewal of your subscription service, or earlier upon request of the account owner.
To Whom We Disclose Information
Except as described in this Privacy Notice and the Terms we do not share or otherwise disclose Personal Information about you.
We may share your Personal Information with our payment processor and to third party service providers
we use to market our services or deliver some of our services to you.
We may also disclose your Personal Information or
Account information and content if we believe doing so is required to comply with law enforcement, government regulations and courts,
or to exercise, establish or defend our legal rights.
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing due diligence or sale of any part of our business we may as part of such transaction sell or transfer your Personal Information as permitted by law.
Subject to their consent we may display personal testimonials of satisfied customers on our web site and social media. Customers who have consented to have their testimonial published can contact us to update or delete their testimonial.
Accessing Your Information
You have the right to contact us to request what personal information we hold about you. You can access, update and delete your account information by accessing the "Your Account & Billing" settings in the Legrand Cloud CRM service. You can contact us via e-mail or by calling one of our offices in order to correct discrepancies and update your record with new address information, and/or request to be removed from mailing subscriptions.
